Student Day Exploring Whitney Biennial 2024
College and graduate students are invited to join us to explore Whitney Biennial 2024: Even Better Than the Real Thing, gain insight into career development, make art, and connect with fellow students.
Attend a panel about arts career paths with professionals from New York City cultural institutions, create your own artwork, and meet with Whitney staff to discuss opportunities to engage with the Museum as a student. Then, stick around for a live DJ set, more artmaking, and late-night exhibition access during Free Friday Night.
Meet and Greet Floor 8, Tuft Trustee Room 1-2 and 3-4 pm with Whitney Museum Staff Ahead of each panel discussion, enjoy an opportunity to connect with staff from the Whitney on the Museum’s research opportunities, internship and education programs, and get to know what a variety of museum careers can look like.
Panel Discussions Floor 8, Tuft Trustee Room 2-3 pm Exploring Engagement Speakers will discuss how they build careers that provide community, welcome new audiences, and offer enriching experiences for dedicated patrons. 4-5 pm Exhibition Development Speakers will provide a spotlight on the wide variety of roles involved in bringing an exhibition to life in a museum setting.
Artmaking Floor 3, Hess Family Theater 2-7 pm with Teaching Artist Jaqueline Cedar Drop in for an artmaking activity inspired by work on view in the 2024 Biennial.
