A ferocious storm rages outside the Fire Island beach house of Tim Bailey, a 40-year-old gay man having a mid-life crisis – He's lost his job, his husband started divorce proceedings, and his adopted daughter will soon leave the nest. At the top of the play, Tim's daughter sees a yacht get struck by lightning as it is engulfed by the storm – everyone is washed overboard. Thus, begins a night of surprise visitor's as each nearly drowned passenger, which include Tim's ex-boss and his ex-husband, make their way to Tim's front door forcing Tim to face his demons and hilariously fight to regain control of his life as things continue to go wrong and unravel no matter what he does. In the end, love wins and all is forgiven as they all set out to make their way back home under a clear blue sky.
