The 2024 Riverdale Run and Fun Day is for families and individuals alike. This year, we will hold a timed 5K for individual runners and a 1K Fun Run/Walk for casual runners and families. Finisher medals for all finishers!

Following the race, we invite the community to join us for fun! There will be kid-friendly games and activities for all!

There will be no race day bib pick up and limited registration. Bib pick up will be May 13-17 at the Riverdale Y, and you may have a friend/family member pick your bib up if you cannot make it.

The Riverdale Run & Fun Day is an annual event to celebrate health and community together. Join runners, walkers, and spectators from all over Riverdale and surrounding areas will come together on May 19 to celebrate health and community with a 5K run, 1K Fun Run/Walk, and post-race Fun Day with loads of family-friendly events and activities.

To prevent delays to the race and re-open roads to our community, all timed 5K runners must finish the 5K in under 60 minutes.

BENEFITS Proceeds from the 2024 Riverdale Run & Fun Day, including your contributions, will help fund the most-needed community programs and services provided by Riverdale Y, such as:

Addressing Food Injustice: We along with support from many volunteers provide food through our monthly food pantry, pop events, and other unique partnerships to support our neighbors with healthy meals. Providing Enriching Older Adults Services: Riverdale Y is a second home for nearly 1,000 older adults who take advantage of hot meals, social activities, and tech support. Riverdale Y is a crucial resource for ensuring a high quality of life. We are dedicated to expanding the intergenerational internship program and fostering relationships between teens and older adults. Developing Service-Centric Teen Leaders: We engage teens from diverse educational backgrounds to participate in community service, leadership development, intergenerational programming, and volunteer support across many areas of our work in the community.
