With Madison Avenue Spring Gallery Walk and WINDOWS Open to the Sky – A SVA End-of-Year Student Design Public Exhibition

The worlds of art and design will intersect during Madison Avenue Art & Design Weekend May 14-16. The Madison Avenue B.I.D., in partnership with Design Pavilion’s WINDOWS Open to the Sky, will showcase student art from the School of Visual Arts (SVA) in a series of empty store windows. This NYC End-of-Year Student Design Showcase has been organized by Design Pavilion and ArtsThread, in collaboration with NYCxDesign, to present the work of students in available store windows in lieu of the cancelled end-of-year student exhibitions due to the pandemic. It will be an extremely noteworthy public display at a time when students, schools and the public need uplifting and hope.

The first Madison Avenue Spring Gallery Walk on Saturday, May 15, timed to celebrate Madison Avenue Art & Design Weekend, will offer art enthusiasts the opportunity to safely schedule appointments for gallery visits. A prestigious roster of internationally acclaimed galleries, located on Madison Avenue between 57th and 86th Streets, will open their doors for tours and discussions of their current exhibitions. Participating galleries include: Alexander Berggruen, Aquavella Galleries, Arader, Arlene Angard Designs & Fine Art, Baahng Gallery Inc., Debra Force Fine Art, Dickinson, FreedmanArt, Henrique Faria, Gagosian, Hirschl & Adler, Hubert Gallery, Ippodo Gallery, Kapoor Galleries, Kraushaar Galleries, L. Parker Stephenson Photographs, Lévy Gorvy, Lois Wagner Fine Arts, Miyako Yoshinaga Gallery, Nicholas Brawer, Richard Gray Gallery, Rosenberg & Co., Skarstedt Gallery, Thomsen Gallery, Van de Weghe and Van Doren Waxter. Abiding by NYC health and safety standards and social distancing, one can schedule a gallery visit by appointment at:

Madison Avenue Art & Design Week also celebrates the arrival of spring in so many ways. Free and open to the public, visitors and shoppers are invited to dine in outside cafes, take a walk on the avenue lined with flowers and trees, shop in the world’s finest stores, schedule a visit to the new Frick Madison and experience fine art and design every step of the way. Madison Avenue Art & Design Weekend is organized by the Madison Avenue B.I.D.
