20th Anniversary Concert: Lifting Our Spirits in Song
Ansche Chesed on Manhattan's Upper West Side is thrilled to announce a momentous evening in celebration of Cantor Natasha Hirschhorn's 20th anniversary as its beloved Hazzan and Music Director, to be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at 7pm. This special concert, set against the backdrop of one of New York's most vibrant communities in the historic and recently renovated 1927 building, will feature an exquisite selection of musical pieces, from the timeless works of Sondheim and Bernstein to groundbreaking new compositions. Admission is pay-what-you-wish, with a suggested contribution of $20. The evening promises to be a profound showcase of Cantor Hirschhorn's illustrious career, with performances by her fellow Cantors-Composers Gerald Cohen, Benjie Ellen Schiller, and Isaac Sonett-Assor. The Shirei Chesed Community Choir, under Cantor Hirschhorn's direction, and internationally renowned pianist Alexandra Joan will also grace the stage, adding to the night's splendor. A champagne reception with treats will follow, allowing the community to revel in the shared joy of music.
