Moth to Flame Jazz Funk Fusion Latin
Moth to Flame, an electric jazz group, has been performing their unique blend of hard bop, Latin, funk, rock, and fusion throughout the tri-state area since 2009. Influenced by the music of Shorter, Hancock, Corea, Metheny, Jarrett, Santamaria, and Zawinul, as well as Rodrigo, Saint-Saëns, and Rachmaninoff, Moth to Flame has been thrilling audiences at venues as disparate as intimate jazz clubs and expansive outdoor festivals. Their eclectic mix of jazz, rhythm and blues, progressive rock, classical, funk and world music can be heard on their first CD of original compositions, soon to be released. Whether playing their own arrangements of songs by Return to Forever or Weather Report, or performing their original tunes, this band enjoys a broad cross-section of appeal, and is a must-see on the NYC jazz circuit
