Hillary Clinton Arrives at Madame Tussauds New York

"Hail to the Chief" was playing loudly in the background and dozens of red, white, and blue balloons fell from the ceiling as the new ‘Hillary Clinton’ figure was presented to the public for the first time at Madame Tussauds. New Yorkers rallied in support of Hillary Clinton's possible presidential campaign while holding signs that read, "Hillary in 2008," and chanting their encouragement in the Times Square attraction.

The figure is part of a new Hillary Clinton Interactive Exhibit. Visitors will enter voting booths to answer the following questions: 1.) Would you ever vote for a female President? 2.) Will Hillary Clinton be the first female President? (Votes will be immediately tallied and shown on-site and periodically updated at www.nycwax.com.) Figures of President John F. Kennedy, President George W. Bush, President Ronald Reagan, and President William J. Clinton surround the new exhibit.

"Hillary Clinton has a powerful presence in our community, not solely as the former First Lady but also because of the substantial political resume she has individually built," said Janine DiGioacchino, General Manager Madame Tussauds New York. "We are pleased to celebrate President’s Day by introducing the Hillary Clinton figure to our Portrait Gallery, where she can join other historically relevant figures."

Madame Tussauds New York is an interactive "must do" attraction that provides guests with unique opportunities to create memories with some of the world's biggest icons. Visitors who stop by to see Teri Hatcher’s figure can take a quiz to find out what kind of housewife they are – naughty or neighborly. At the "Movie Star Experience," visitors enter the movie studio and audition for blockbuster films in front of silicon figure Will Smith, while guests who stop by "Chamber Live! Featuring House of Wax" are transported to Trudy’s House of Wax in the eerie town of Ambrose, which is filled with remarkably life-like wax sculptures.

Located in the heart of Times Square at 234 W. 42nd St. btw. Seventh & Eighth Aves., Madame Tussauds New York is open 365 days a year at 10 a.m. For more information, visit www.nycwax.com or call 800-246-8872.
