Awareness Walk for Mental Health
Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
The US Veterans Hall of Fame is bringing awareness to mental health among veterans, as well as communities in general, and the battle that many lose to suicide. Due to Covid, we are unable to host our national , multi-city, large group walks this year. However, we would like everyone to spread the word that on Saturday FEB 27th, at 7:00 a.m. our Founders will begin walking a 22-mile course across the city of Atlanta. The 22-miles represent the number of veterans and active duty troops we lose daily to suicide in the United States.
Anyone who wishes to participate virtually, doing any distance, may do so from anywhere in the country and send us your amazing pictures! Whether you are walking one block or one mile, every step for this cause is appreciated and welcome!
The details on how to participate (or donate) are on our website at: www.USVetsHallofFame.org/community
This walk also serves as a fundraiser for mental health therapy outlets for veterans and daily necessity needs. Any amount is accepted for this cause!
Thank you New York! Let's assist our veterans!
*Please share the event on Facebook, the NextDoor app or other social media outlets!
