Walk to Cure Arthritis
May is Arthritis Awareness Month! Join the movement by supporting the Arthritis Foundation’s mission to cure arthritis and help people with arthritis live a full life by participating in the 2021 Walk to Cure Arthritis on May 16, 2021 virtually. Starting on May 4, the Walk to Cure Arthritis events will join from across the country with a goal to walk 54 million steps to fight arthritis – the nation’s leading cause of disability which impacts 3.4 mill New Yorkers.
“We can all make a difference in lives of people with arthritis – the No. 1 cause of disability,” said Teresa Guido, Executive Director “For more than 70 years, the Arthritis Foundation has taken the steps to conquer this disease and Walk to Cure Arthritis is the largest arthritis event in the world, where we celebrate arthritis warriors and raise funds for research, resources and a cure.”

This year’s Walk to Cure Arthritis will highlight two medical professionals. Dr. Lou Bridges is the 2021 Medical Honoree. He has earned his MD, PhD Hospital for Special Surgery, Physician-in-Chief and Chair, Department of Medicine Hospital for Special Surgery & Chief, Division of Rheumatology Weill Cornell Medical College. Carol Stillman is the 2021 Event Co-Chair. She holds the title of PT, DPT. Sutton Place Physical and Aquatic Therapy Owner.
