Art & Activism: Takin' It to the Streets
SVA Continuing Education is pleased to present its 3rd annual Art & Activism event at the SVA Theatre, moderated by media personality Valerie Smaldone. This year, they celebrate the power of collectives, performance as political activism and artistic activations of public space. Come enjoy the presentation and performances, and stick around for a reception where you can design your own protest gear for the election season. Learn more in the video here. RSVP here. Honored guests will include representatives from the Sing for Hope organization, Hetrick-Martin Institute for LGBTQ youth, NYC Department of Cultural Affairs Percent for Art program, MOVE design collective, and a dedicated community of artists and performers who will touch on the immense power of art and design activism.
