American Classical Orchestra – Reunion
Reuniting after a year-and-a-half of stage darkness, the American Classical Orchestra (ACO), New York City’s foremost period instrument orchestra, lights up the evening with a celebratory free outdoor concert of popular baroque music at the renovated bandshell of Lincoln Center’s Damrosch Park. The program includes Handel’s Music for the Royal Fireworks, excerpts from his Water Music, and “Summer” from Vivaldi’s The Four Seasons, featuring Rachell Ellen Wong, the 2020 winner of the Avery Fisher Career Grant. Ms. Wong is the first period instrumentalist to receive the coveted award.
