The Young People’s Chorus of NYC to Perform Composer Michael Harrison’s New Work at Art Exhibit, AloneTogether
Young People’s Chorus of New York City (YPC) has announced a diverse, talent-packed lineup for a music series within its new, mixed-media art installation, AloneTogether, an in-depth exploration of the impact of Covid-19-related global turmoil on the hearts and minds of children and young adults.
On Friday, December 5 at 5:00 p.m., Elizabeth Núñez, YPC’s Associate Artistic Director, will be joined by composer Michael Harrison and tabla player Nitin Mitta for a special performance, including the premiere of his hopeful piece, “A New Well.” The piece will be sung by the Young People's Chorus of New York City and was commissioned for THE CANONS PROJECT, a film featured in the AloneTogether exhibition.
The full AloneTogether exhibition is open to the public Saturday, November 20-Sunday, December 19 (Wednesday-Sunday) from noon – 6 pm.
