Soulesque with Host Aaron Marcellus and Beautiful Burlesque
An evening of music inspired by the joining of R&B and gospel music from 1950's America. Soul music has a deep root in the civil rights movement and inspired some of the greatest artists of our time, Marvin Gaye, Smokey Robinson, Stevie Wonder. Aaron Marcellus's love of this music and the sound of the greatest label Motown will preform classics from this era and music that evolved from this time. Host Aaron Marcellus got his musical start at age three singing in talent shows at his local nursery school. He grew up in a musical family rooted in the traditional black gospel church where he attributes his soulful sound. Aaron was also a contestant in last season's American Idol. Burlesque performances by a different set of burlesque performers monthly.
