Celebrate Women's History Month this March! Bayside Historical Society invites you to a screening of the film, "The Journey," a documentary that chronicles the experiences of Istrian women’s emigration to America in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.
Directed by Olivia Rutigliano and produced by Maria Santalesa, President of the Histria Association for Women, the film weaves together the interviews of 22 women to tell the story of this important national migration and the unique home these women made for themselves in New York. Opportunity for discussion will follow the film. Light refreshments will be served.
