Samaritan Daytop Village Community Festival
Due to the coronavirus, please call to ensure this event is still happening before you leave home.
Now in its 25th year, the Samaritan Daytop Village Community Festival celebrates community, wellness and living free of substance use disorder. The annual street fair, which attracts thousands of residents, neighbors and visitors, takes place on Saturday, September 14th from 10 AM – 6 PM on 8th Avenue from West 42nd to 55th Streets in Manhattan. Samaritan Daytop Village is one of New York State’s largest health and human service agencies. The organization provides a continuum of services including substance use disorder treatment, health and mental health care, recovery services, shelter, transitional and permanent housing, and services for veterans and seniors. The festival, held during National Recovery Month, features food, arts and crafts, clothing, jewelry and other items to browse or buy. Throughout the day, Samaritan Daytop Village staff and members of the Samaritan Daytop Family Association, as well as partner recovery groups and alumni associations, will be on hand to discuss the importance of treatment, recovery and how to get help.Venue: 8th Avenue, Between West 42nd and 55th Streets
