If you’re coming in from Jersey, enjoying the city before a bus trip, or taking in a Knicks game at Madison Square Garden, you may need to store your bag in the Penn Station area. Here are 5 handy services that will safely store your luggage and leave you free to roam New York City. 

Bounce

That, and their very affordable prices—$5.90 per bag per day—make this service a perfect storage solution. Bounce uses retailers, cafes, and other local businesses to store your stuff conveniently. Schwartz Luggage Storage

A dedicated luggage storage facility near Penn Station, Schwartz accommodates bags big and small, for groups and singles, short and long-term. It’s just $2.50 per bag per hour for brief storage needs, and up to $10 per bag per day. Drop off and pick up your bags at the locations of your choice with My Bag Check. This unique valet service sends drivers to take your bags, store them, and deliver them back to you at your preferred time and place. There’s an app you can use to schedule your driver, who will be available 24 hours a day for your convenience. My Bag Check flat rates start at $35 within Manhattan and $75 within Brooklyn, with up to 5 items included in your fee. Amtrak at Penn Station

If you’re taking the train in, consider storing your bag at the Amtrak desk. According to the Amtrak website, Parcel Check services will keep your luggage for $10 per bag for 24 hours for Amtrak customers. Non-Amtrak passengers can also store bags for $20 per bag. 267 W. 31st St., amtrak.com

Hotels

Whether or not you stay at a hotel, you may be able to stow your bag at one. The Hotel Pennsylvania, for example, offers $5 storage per bag until 7pm. Ask staffers about luggage storage at other hotels in the area, but be prepared to pay a fee and tip staff members for this service.
