The New York Comedy Festival
Next month, we celebrate the capital of comedy at The New York Comedy Festival. This exciting event will last November 4 through 10 and bring the laughs to all five boroughs of the city at a wide range of venues. The first night of the festival, see Stand Up for Heroes, an evening of comedy on behalf of U.S. veterans, presented in part by the Bob Woodruff Foundation. Bruce Springsteen, Jon Stewart, Hasan Minhaj, John Oliver, and Ronny Chieng will perform at this annual event, hosted at the Hulu Theater. Tom Segura's Takes It Down Tour stops at the Beacon Theatre November 7 ; Comedy Bang Bang!'s Scott Aukerman performs with special guests Nov. 8 at the Beacon Theatre ; see The Daily Show’s Trevor Noah on his Loud & Clear Tour on November 8 at Madison Square Garden. Billy Joel at The Garden
“Piano Man” Billy Joel continues his residency at the arena at Madison Square Garden this winter. The legendary New York entertainer will return to the venue he’s played well over 100 times for his monthly show this fall/winter season. We Will Rock You
The theatricality of the band Queen has inspired the musical We Will Rock You, coming to the Hulu Theater this November on its world tour. The show’s narrative follows two music lovers surviving the apocalypse and trying to keep rock music alive amidst cyberpunk chaos. The New York Knicks
The NBA season is right around the corner. See the Knicks at their home arena this fall and winter at Madison Square Garden. Preseason games begin there October 11 with the Knicks vs. Washington Wizards. Other home games this season include the Knicks against the Celtics October 26, the Cavaliers November 10, and the Trail Blazers on New Year’s Day 2020. New York Rangers
New York’s hockey team returns for a thrilling season at the Garden, beginning October 12. See the Rangers play the Vancouver Canucks, Nashville Predators, and Detroit Red Wings at its home arena in coming months. Cher: Here We Go Again Tour
Supreme diva Cher returns to the arena at Madison Square Garden in early December. She’ll perform ABBA songs from her recent album, Dancing Queen, which draws on her recent appearance in the film Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again. Z100’s Jingle Ball
The annual Jingle Ball brings music’s biggest names together for a night of holiday merriment. 144th Annual Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show
Coming this February is perhaps the cuddliest event you can see at The Garden.
