Designed and performed by Moving Star Vocal Ensemble, the performance invites audiences into an expanding and contracting world and immerses them in a parachute's movements as it becomes a metaphor for breathing. Please note that this event is for babies and toddlers age two or younger. It is not recommended for older children. Free Event Admission is granted on a first-come, first-served basis for the first 50 children and their parents or guardians. For ages 0–2

Design Fest - Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian No Museum

Cooper Hewitt concludes National Design Week with a day of hands-on activities led by National Design Award winners and guest designers. Audiences of all ages are invited to play designer and tackle design challenges in workshops, learn new design skills, and explore the museum. Launched in 2006, National Design Week is held each year in conjunction with the National Design Awards. In celebration of the 20th anniversary of the National Design Awards, Cooper Hewitt will offer free admission to all museum visitors during National Design Week (October 12–19, 2019), courtesy of Target, and will host a series of free education programs broadening access to the vision and work of the country's design leaders, inspiring people of all ages to engage with design and design thinking.
