City Point: Brooklyn's New Shopping Center

If you’re visiting Brooklyn, you’ll find some of the best the borough has to offer all in one space downtown. City Point is an exciting new multilevel structure with food on the basement level and shopping above. The dining area is itself called DeKalb Market, showcasing vendors with roots in Brooklyn. You’ll find Steve’s Authentic Key Lime Pies, BK Jani’s Pakistani street food, DeKalb Taco, the transcendent Ample Hills ice cream, and many others. Alongside is a Trader Joe’s if you’re wanting some Speculoos or cheap olive oil!

Make a point to travel to the very top floors for a movie at Alamo Drafthouse. This now-nationwide chain of multiplexes features food and drink as part of your film-going experience. The comfortable recliners in the theaters have their own personal tables attached. If you’re in the mood for some beer and some Channing Tatum, Alamo has you covered.

Get ready for the discounts of your life at the 4-level Century 21, where you’ll find make-up, designer apparel and accessories, and home goods. On the third floor, inside Century 21, is a Brooklyn Roasting Company counter in case you need to caff up. Don’t miss the Target on 2. Then take a trip through gift heaven at Flying Tiger, where you’ll have your pick of adorable paper goods, pottery, and knicknacks. This Danish store is everything you love about Ikea design without having to lug unmade furniture around. City Point also features a barber shop and children’s clothing, with more retailers to come.
