Award-winning actress Aishwarya Rai's wax figure, on loan from Madame Tussauds London, makes its U.S. debut at Madame Tussauds New York. Known for her striking good looks, Rai - a former Miss World - is the most well-known Indian actress in the world. Her figure is dressed in an intricately patterned bright red sari and accesorized with ornate gold and red jewelry. Rai's figure visits Madame Tussauds New York through the end of September, during which time it stands alongside wax figures of other world-renowned celebrities, including Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt, Salma Hayek and Jennifer Lopez, in the "Opening Night" section of the attraction.
Visitors will be able to admire and take photos with Rai's figure. They will also be able to enter a contest to win two plane tickets to India courtesy of Air India.
